Emotional palette cleansing
I’ve noticed an interesting side effect to running. It is an emotional reset switch for me. No matter how I’m feeling before I start running, I return home with a serene sense of calm. It doesn’t necessarily cancel all negative feelings but it clears away the little anxieties and annoyances that build up over the course of the day. An emotional sorbet of sorts.
